So after gaining an extra 10kg in the last year in an effort to gain 3kg, I read that my weight gain would be a thing of the past if I simply cut out carbohydrates and sugar from my diet and this includes starchy vegetables.
I had been eating a lot of bread and the likes so those were the first to go and the rest followed. I have been sugar free and eating about 10grms of carbs daily for about 3 months and the weight went away just as they came so now I am back to where I want to be.
I decided to start this blog today to chronicle my journey from eating low carbohydrate to eating almost zero carbohydrate and this means eating mostly from the animal kingdom and no plants, seeds, grains (been grain free for 4 months) and everything else but will eat eggs, fresh cut pieces of meat, fishy chicken, butter, cheese, coconut oil etc.
I will not count calories and my hope is to be able to maintain weight while being healthy because I've discovered in my journey that my stomach felt much better with just fats and proteins and nothing more.
I cook all our food and we rarely eat out and when we do, we stick to protein and fatty sauces with little sides.
My weight today is 61kg and I will see what happens as I start a new life if eating bacon until I can eat no more...
